經(jīng)過(guò)近兩周的辛苦籌備，愛和城高級(jí)中學(xué)留學(xué)部首屆英文朗讀大賽于近日成功舉辦。此次英文朗讀大賽旨在幫助學(xué)生們認(rèn)識(shí)朗讀對(duì)于語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)的重要性，激發(fā)學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的積極性，從而提高對(duì)英文之美的感受力和鑒賞力。

After two weeks of preparation, the first English Recitation Contest of Aiton International Academy was successfully held recently. The purpose of this English reading contest is to provide students with more opportunities to enjoy beautiful English articles and improve their ability of English appreciation.    

比賽分為兩個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)：

一、選手朗讀提前自行準(zhǔn)備好的英文資料，限時(shí)三分鐘，占總成績(jī)的70%。

二、抽簽進(jìn)行即興朗讀，選手們隨機(jī)抽取一篇一分鐘內(nèi)的英語(yǔ)文章進(jìn)行朗讀，占總成績(jī)的30%。

評(píng)委們根據(jù)流利程度、語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)、臨場(chǎng)表現(xiàn)、儀表儀態(tài)對(duì)選手打分。兩項(xiàng)成績(jī)相加得出最終成績(jī)，評(píng)出三等獎(jiǎng)三名，二等獎(jiǎng)兩名和一等獎(jiǎng)一名。

There are two parts in this reciting competition. The first part is for the contestants to read prepared English passage for about three minutes, and the second part is to draw lots for English impromptu reading. The judges score the contestants' fluency, pronunciation and intonation, on-the-spot presentation according to the performance of each segment. After the heated competition, three students won the 3rd Prize, two got the 2nd prize and one student awarded the champion.

同時(shí)作為主持人和參賽選手的趙若含、顧珈恒為此次比賽付出了很多。除了打磨自己的朗讀作品之外，為比賽能夠順利進(jìn)行，還對(duì)主持內(nèi)容進(jìn)行了多次修改和排練。兩位主持人在比賽現(xiàn)場(chǎng)展現(xiàn)出了最佳狀態(tài)，為比賽圓滿進(jìn)行提供了有力支持。 

Hanna and Khan, both as hosts and contestants devoted a lot for the competition. In addition to polishing their own reading manuscript, they also modified and rehearsed the MC script for many times.  Zhao Ruohan and Gu Jiaheng did their best at the scene of the competition, which contributed greatly for this wonderful competition.   

高琳軒作為第一名參賽選手表現(xiàn)不俗，她大方從容，感情飽滿，通過(guò)流利地英文表達(dá)，將觀眾帶入到情境中。

朗讀結(jié)束后，評(píng)委們肯定了學(xué)生的表現(xiàn)并提出了進(jìn)一步的提高建議。

As the first contestant, Crystal performed well and was very calm, and conveyed the feelings of the article through language rendering and eye contact with the audience. At the end of the reading, the judges affirmed Crystal reading and made further suggestions.

進(jìn)入決賽的十一位選手陸續(xù)上臺(tái)呈現(xiàn)出了自己的最佳狀態(tài)。

Eleven contestants came on stage one after another, presenting their reading.

值得一提的是，參賽選手安博文在腳受傷在家休息情況下，仍堅(jiān)持來(lái)到比賽現(xiàn)場(chǎng)并出色的完成了朗讀。

It is worth mentioning that the contestant Burn insisted on coming to the competition site and finished the reading excellently even though his foot was still under treatment.

 比賽間歇，高二國(guó)際和高一藝術(shù)班給大家?guī)?lái)了精彩的舞蹈串燒表演，展現(xiàn)了留學(xué)部的整體精神面貌并贏得了在場(chǎng)學(xué)生和老師們的一致好評(píng)。

At the end of the first round of competition, senior international class and senior art class gave us wonderful dances, which fully demonstrated the overall spirit of the International Academy and won the unanimous praise of the students and teachers present.

高一國(guó)際的學(xué)生們利用統(tǒng)計(jì)比賽結(jié)果的時(shí)間，給我們帶來(lái)了一首優(yōu)美清新的日文歌曲還有熱情洋溢的舞蹈串燒。

During the scoring period, students of junior international class sang a therapeutic Japanese song and passionate dance.

最后是激動(dòng)人心的頒獎(jiǎng)儀式。

Finally, there was the exciting award ceremony.

費(fèi)可兒，尹泊涵，杜曼琪獲得三等獎(jiǎng)

Flora, Kiki and Stacy won the Third Prize.

趙若含，鄧子堯獲得二等獎(jiǎng)

Hanna and Herman won the Second Prize.  

安博文獲得此次朗讀比賽的冠軍

Burn won the championship of the reading contest.

“千里之行始于足下”。朗讀比賽僅僅是促進(jìn)學(xué)生們英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的一小步。通過(guò)比賽，學(xué)生們充分體會(huì)到朗讀對(duì)提高英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)的重要性，激發(fā)了學(xué)生們對(duì)朗讀的熱情，提升了自信與表達(dá)，也為自我展示提供了平臺(tái)。留學(xué)部積極倡導(dǎo)學(xué)生們參加校內(nèi)外形式多樣的比賽與活動(dòng)，從而拓寬眼界、增強(qiáng)自信、在實(shí)踐中提升自身的綜合能力！

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. In the reciting competition our students experienced something new and enjoyed the exciting competition. There will be more activities like this inside and out of the campus for AIA students to enhance self-confidence, build a global perspective and promote comprehensive ability in all aspects.
